The Assistant Store Manager will join the team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing and transferring merchandise, and maintaining seasonal areas. Key responsibilities include performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting with merchandise ordering, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits), and loss prevention. The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, securing company assets, adhering to safety guidelines, and helping the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates. The position requires maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates. For stores selling alcohol and/or tobacco, the manager may be required to provide background information for specialized licenses, with failure to comply potentially leading to demotion or separation.
