About The Position

True Religion is an urban casual lifestyle brand focused on high-quality denim, activewear, accessories, and more—for men, women, and kids. Founded in 2002, the company re-engineered the classic five-pocket jean with its signature Super T Stitch and iconic horseshoe detailing, aiming for bold, unapologetic style. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving store performance through strong sales execution, operational discipline, and exceptional customer experience. This role is a key leadership position on the sales floor, helping to execute daily store operations, coach and develop associates, and uphold True Religion’s brand and selling standards. In the Store Manager’s absence, the Assistant Store Manager provides coverage and leadership to ensure continued performance, team engagement, and operational consistency.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a retail supervisory, key-holder, or management role within a specialty or fashion environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated ability to support store KPIs, including sales, payroll, and shrink
  • Strong coaching and communication skills with a hands-on leadership approach
  • Experience supporting visual merchandising, inventory management, and loss prevention practices
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning retail systems and technology

Responsibilities

  • Support Business Results: Partner with the Store Manager to drive store KPIs including sales, payroll, conversion, and shrink, while maintaining operational and visual standards.
  • Lead on the Floor: Act as Manager on Duty as assigned, setting expectations, leading shifts, and ensuring a positive, productive store environment.
  • Communicate Effectively: Reinforce daily priorities, goals, and expectations while fostering open, respectful communication across the team.
  • Coach & Develop Associates: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to support performance, engagement, and growth.
  • Execute with Ownership: Take initiative in planning daily workload, staffing, and floor execution to support business needs.
  • Problem Solve & Protect Assets: Use sound judgment to address challenges, resolve issues in real time, and support loss prevention and safety practices.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience: Champion True Religion’s selling culture by coaching in the moment and modeling brand-right behaviors.
  • Operational Excellence: Support scheduling, payroll controls, policy execution, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Visual & Inventory Execution: Maintain visual merchandising standards, support inventory accuracy, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom.
