About The Position

At Midas, we develop leaders. We’re looking for a results-oriented Assistant Store Manager who brings energy to the counter, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and wants to grow into a Store Manager role. This position is ideal for someone who loves sales, leads by example, and is ready to be held accountable for results . The Role As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work directly alongside the Store Manager to drive sales, improve performance, and lead the team on the floor . You will be hands-on with customers, actively closing work, coaching teammates, and ensuring the shop runs efficiently and profitably. This is not a back-office role — it’s a front-line leadership position .

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of Service Advisor, Assistant Manager, or supervisory experience (automotive preferred)
  • Strong customer-facing sales experience
  • General automotive knowledge (training provided)
  • Strong communication and closing skills
  • Comfortable with POS systems and basic reporting
  • Leadership potential and team-building mindset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule (including weekends)

Responsibilities

  • Lead at the counter.
  • Sell maintenance and repair services with confidence, transparency, and urgency.
  • Drive daily results.
  • Help execute strategies that improve ARO, car count, and service conversion.
  • Support and coach the team.
  • Assist in training service advisors and technicians on communication, process, and performance.
  • Deliver great customer experiences.
  • Listen, consult, follow up, and close.
  • Execute inspections and recommendations.
  • Ensure vehicle inspections are thorough and accurately presented to customers.
  • Maintain standards.
  • Support safety, cleanliness, organization, and compliance throughout the shop.
  • Step up when needed.
  • Run the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
  • Track performance.
  • Assist with daily reports, scheduling, payroll support, and KPI tracking.
