Assistant Store Manager – Sales-Driven Leader (Automotive)
About The Position
At Midas, we develop leaders. We’re looking for a results-oriented Assistant Store Manager who brings energy to the counter, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and wants to grow into a Store Manager role. This position is ideal for someone who loves sales, leads by example, and is ready to be held accountable for results . The Role As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work directly alongside the Store Manager to drive sales, improve performance, and lead the team on the floor . You will be hands-on with customers, actively closing work, coaching teammates, and ensuring the shop runs efficiently and profitably. This is not a back-office role — it’s a front-line leadership position .
Requirements
- 1–2 years of Service Advisor, Assistant Manager, or supervisory experience (automotive preferred)
- Strong customer-facing sales experience
- General automotive knowledge (training provided)
- Strong communication and closing skills
- Comfortable with POS systems and basic reporting
- Leadership potential and team-building mindset
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule (including weekends)
Responsibilities
- Lead at the counter.
- Sell maintenance and repair services with confidence, transparency, and urgency.
- Drive daily results.
- Help execute strategies that improve ARO, car count, and service conversion.
- Support and coach the team.
- Assist in training service advisors and technicians on communication, process, and performance.
- Deliver great customer experiences.
- Listen, consult, follow up, and close.
- Execute inspections and recommendations.
- Ensure vehicle inspections are thorough and accurately presented to customers.
- Maintain standards.
- Support safety, cleanliness, organization, and compliance throughout the shop.
- Step up when needed.
- Run the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Track performance.
- Assist with daily reports, scheduling, payroll support, and KPI tracking.
