We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, and addressing any questions or concerns. Key responsibilities include organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery trucks to the sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas are maintained, and performing opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Store Manager will also process corporate directives, maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays, and assist with merchandise ordering, processing damaged goods, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits), and loss prevention. Maintaining store areas to company standards, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, is crucial. The position also involves protecting company assets, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring all store associates follow company policies. A significant part of the role is to help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for maintaining overall store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
