About The Position

Cosentino's Food Stores is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The Assistant Store Manager will be instrumental in driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining operational excellence within the store. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, demonstrating a thorough understanding of retail operations.
  • Strong management skills, including the ability to supervise, coach, and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve financial targets.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a retail setting.
  • Possess an energetic and positive attitude.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience with grocery store operations.
  • Experience in coaching employees to improve performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervise and train store associates, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. This includes training and development of staff.
  • Oversee and manage retail sales performance, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and merchandising.
  • Implement and monitor promotional effectiveness, ensuring successful execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and building strong customer relationships.
  • Effectively manage inventory and minimize loss, utilizing product knowledge to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, motivating and inspiring the team to achieve store goals.
  • Effectively handle problem solving and conflict resolution within the store environment.
  • Utilize planning skills to schedule staff and manage store operations efficiently.
