About The Position

This position plays a role in laying the foundation for our retail business. Reports to the Store Manager and plays an integral role in ensuring our stores are exceeding sales expectations. Assists the Store Manager with building a team of stylists, executing processes and procedures that help Joybird consistently provide top tier customer service, and ensuring that the store exceeds defined financial performance targets

Requirements

  • A leadership background with 1-3 years of retail or hospitality management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 5 years Industry experience or equivalent
  • Travel as required - Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor others and be a self starter able to identify problems and quickly implement solutions.
  • Become an expert on the full Joybird catalog and provide style advice and product recommendations to suit a customer’s unique needs.
  • Partner with the Store Leader to share your valuable insight with our product, marketing and technology teams regarding customer needs and feedback.
  • Assist Store Leader with scheduling and payroll to effectively meet the needs of the business and company expectations.
  • Maintain operational excellence assisting with implementation of key policies, procedures, training and initiatives with your team.
  • Play a role in recruiting top talent for the team.
  • In partnership with Store Leader, analyze KPIs and reporting to create business solutions and exceed sales targets.
  • Open and close the store, execute system opening and closing procedures, and handle cash where appropriate.
  • Lead, uphold and embrace Joybird’s mission and core values.
