About The Position

This position is responsible for: Supervises and participates in the day-to-day operations of the Family Store and warehouse ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures; ensures the accountability and security of cashier funds; maintains the neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise ensuring that displays remain well-stocked; assists customers in locating items and prices and explains store policy.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D AND
  • One year experience working in a retail store preferably a Salvation Army Family Store with some experience supervising the work of co-workers, OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and participates in the cashier’s activities ensuring that all customers are treated in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Assists customers in locating items and prices; assists customers with donating items; explains store policy and ensures compliance with the same.
  • Supervises and participates in maintaining the store displays; arranges, rotates, and re-stocks displayed items to ensure the displays remain in a plentiful, neat and orderly manner for customer convenience and store attractiveness.
  • Prepares, maintains, and files various store reports, records, forms, etc.; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
