About The Position

This is a retail leadership position. A typical schedule would be a 45 hour work week, every other weekend, and 2-3 closing evening shifts a week The primary objective of Assistant Store Manager is to maintain the Freedom Service Creed and customer satisfaction by developing sales volume across all products and services by managing sales people; assigning short and long-term objectives, maintaining floor merchandizing and displays; assisting customers with selections and purchases; developing and training the staff. In addition, the Assistant Store Manager will lead and audit back-end daily operational processes to ensure store continuity and compliance. Responsibilities

  • Maintain sales staff and service by utilizing the Freedom Creed and a strong commitment to the customer experience
  • Manage store associate direct reports by establishing expectations and goals, coaching, counseling, and training for employees; including, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Train retail sales staff in accordance with company training standards and process SOPs.
  • Motivate store associates to execute store promotions, upselling, cross selling, and revenue generating activities.
  • Assist in payroll management by working with the GM on schedule adjustments inline with business needs
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; following up to ensure resolution
  • Maintain knowledge of products and services to better serve our customer
  • Maintain inventory by working hand in hand with the Retail buyer to eliminate out of stocks
  • Maintain store appearance by creating a clean, orderly, and safe shopping environment
  • Working the warehouse daily, checking back stock to insure all product is represented on the floor at all times
  • Execute floor level task lists provided by the General Manager or Director of Retail with a high degree of accountability.
  • Work in coordination with the Hunting & Service Lead to promote and execute services, leagues, contests, events, etc. at the store level.
  • Be a positive voice of growth and change.
  • Set the weather each day in the store
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
  • Maintain quality relationships and services by living and administering the Freedom Service Creed.
