About The Position

As Assistant Store Manager, you will partner closely with the Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the store. You’ll help lead and develop a high-performing team, maintain store standards, execute merchandising and marketing initiatives, and ensure every customer has a world-class shopping experience.

Requirements

  • Retail Experience: Minimum 1 year in a sales-driven retail environment
  • Customer Focus: Proven ability to deliver excellent service and build strong customer relationships
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Motivates others, fosters teamwork, and creates a positive work environment
  • Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills with a focus on operational efficiency
  • Technology Skills: Comfortable using POS systems and basic software applications
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb an 8-foot ladder, stand for long periods, and bend as necessary
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in footwear, fashion, or specialty retail a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in fostering a positive, results-driven sales culture
  • Motivate and coach associates to perform at their best
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing top talent
  • Promote a team-selling environment to drive sales and strengthen customer relationships
  • Ensure world-class customer service is consistently delivered
  • Coach, mentor, and train associates in sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational processes
  • Provide feedback and support performance management in the Store Manager’s absence
  • Oversee inventory management, merchandising, and visual presentation
  • Support marketing initiatives and in-store displays
  • Ensure compliance with risk management, security, and daily operational procedures
  • Assist in monitoring sales performance and store KPIs
  • Support loss prevention initiatives, cash handling, and compliance with operational policies
