About The Position

Blarney Castle is a family-owned retail C-Store operation in Michigan, founded in 1933, with over 1,800 team members dedicated to providing Super, Superior, Customer Service. The Assistant Store Manager is a key part of the leadership group, responsible for coaching and inspiring the team, developing team members, and actively seeking future leaders. This role involves performing a majority of the store's operational work.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related retail experience
  • Demonstrate an interactive leadership style
  • Engaging customer service skills
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current auto insurance

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of a few college credits and qualified work experience

Responsibilities

  • Impact the coaching and inspiration of the team in your store
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to help develop great team members and actively seek tomorrow’s leaders
  • Perform a majority of the store work
  • Provide customer service
  • Process cash and credit transactions
  • Responsibly sell alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products
  • Perform some leadership responsibilities
