About the position
The Assistant Store Manager at Dollar Tree plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth daily operations of the store. This position involves assisting the Store Manager in various tasks, including inventory management, staff training, and maintaining store appearance, while also stepping in to manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner.
- Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
- Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
- Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
- Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures under the direction of the Store Manager.
- Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery truck and organizes merchandise in the store.
- Transfers merchandise from stockroom to store as needed.
- Assists Store Manager in ordering merchandise and record keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts.
- Supports Store Manager in loss prevention efforts.
- Assumes certain management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures.
