The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the sales and profitability while helping to achieve best-in-class customer service in their departments. This role is pivotal in managing the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and development of associates while maintaining diversity within the Front-end team. The Assistant Store Manager will oversee Front-end operations, including the Cash Office, ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered consistently. This position also involves managing store community and customer relations, which includes scheduling and conducting interviews, coordinating orientation and training with CTP Coordinators, and following up on associate development plans. The Assistant Store Manager will document performance issues, attend or coordinate job fairs, analyze store turnover figures, and develop action plans with department managers. Additionally, they will counsel and coach associates, resolve customer issues, respond to donation requests, and manage fundraising events and the gift card program. Creating a culture of best-in-class customer service is essential, as is managing the Customer Service Departments regarding general operations, sales, and profitability. Daily activities will include overseeing sanitation and safety, merchandising department presentation, payroll, productivity, and administration.
