About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager at Spirit Halloween plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of a seasonal store. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential for ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently during the busy Halloween season. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in staffing, which includes recruiting, training, and scheduling employees to ensure that the store is adequately staffed at all times. Additionally, the role involves the setup and teardown of the store, which requires physical labor and the ability to work as part of a team to create an inviting shopping environment for guests. Merchandising is another key responsibility of the Assistant Store Manager. This includes organizing product displays, ensuring that merchandise is stocked and presented attractively, and maintaining inventory control to minimize shrinkage. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to develop strategies that maximize sales and profitability, which may involve analyzing sales data and adjusting merchandising tactics accordingly. Guest services are also a priority, and the Assistant Manager will help establish a customer-friendly atmosphere by training staff to provide excellent service and addressing any customer concerns that may arise. The physical demands of this position are significant, as the Assistant Store Manager will be required to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
