About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager at Runnings, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in the overall operations of the retail store. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring that the store meets its sales and expense goals while providing exceptional customer service. In addition to overseeing sales and expenses, the Assistant Store Manager will coordinate the merchandising of products, ensuring that the store is visually appealing and that products are easily accessible to customers. This includes setting priorities for the distribution of new merchandise and ensuring that inventory levels are adequate across all areas of the store. The Assistant Store Manager will also assist customers with a variety of needs, including purchases, returns, special orders, and handling complaints. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Assistant Store Manager will work closely with Retail Buyers to stay informed about product needs and other relevant product information.
