About The Position

The Assistant Store Leader must ensure that all Team Members are safe, happy, fulfilled, and successful. They must demonstrate ABC’s Core Values with our Guests and Team Members. The Assistant Store Leader will assist the Store Leader in overseeing all store operations and fill in as needed when the Store Leader is unavailable by performing other duties which include driving performance goals, supporting the team, and delivering excellent Guest service.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand.
  • At least 6 months of proven experience and/or training in a management or leadership role; or at least 1 year of education from a college or technical school in Business Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of the LIT program also fulfills this requirement.
  • Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ABC’s Core Values with our Guests and Team Members every day.
  • Participate in Team Member performance management by providing timely feedback, coaching, encouragement, and documenting as necessary.
  • Ensure the standards of service are met by greeting and providing excellent service to all Guests.
  • Drive store performance metrics such as average transaction, Sourced & Certified sales %, and overall business growth.
  • Manage mental demands and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Appropriately manage and resolve conflict among Team Members or Guests, using sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Oversee general operations of inventory control, replenishment, and merchandising guidelines.
  • Stay current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge to ensure compliance and provide an informed, high-quality Guest experience.
  • Maintain accountability in learning ABC Fine Wine & Spirits’ products and sharing knowledge with all Guests and Team Members.
  • Responsible for following and enforcing all operational compliance policy to ensure safety.
  • Perform all typical management tasks/responsibilities including, but not limited to, opening/closing the store, cash control reconciliation, delegating tasks and assignments, assisting with the hiring and training of staff, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by store leadership.
