Pay Transparency: Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis. For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly customer service.
  • Assists the Store Director with total‑store CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and communicates with customers to resolve concerns.
  • Engages in suggestive selling and other sales‑building techniques (telephone, intercom announcements, and in‑person interaction).
  • Responds appropriately to incoming calls and resolves customer complaints; supports closing the loop between customer feedback and employee coaching.
  • Assists with total store operations, including implementing Company and Division merchandising, operating, and sales initiatives.
  • Supports driving sales, achieving gross profit, and managing operational and labor expenses.
  • Helps plan daily operations and ensures production processes follow Company procedures and profit expectations.
  • Communicates with Operations Specialists regarding sales promotions and division programs.
  • Meets weekly with department managers to review ads, sales plans, and promotions; ensures alternate leadership hosts meetings when the Store Director is absent.
  • Ensures Company safety and health initiatives are communicated and implemented throughout the store.
  • Maintains integrity in food safety and sanitation practices across all departments; ensures full compliance in every area.
  • Reviews training and ensures all employees remain compliant with: Food Safety & Sanitation HIPAA COBC (Code of Business Conduct) Meat Grinding & Tracking Log Texas Workplace Benefits Plan Manager Food Handlers Manager All other company and state‑required programs
  • Ensures proper code‑dating procedures are followed for all products.
  • Ensures compliance with Division scheduling initiatives, wage and payroll guidelines, Time Clock Policy, benefit plans, child labor laws, and all other employment laws.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records in compliance with law and Company retention policies.
  • Ensures compliance with Company grooming standards and dress code.
  • Assists with staffing efforts including recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding.
  • Evaluates employee performance and assists in personnel decisions (promotion, discipline, termination) including required documentation.
  • Identifies training needs for key employees to support future development.
  • Resolves employee relations concerns (discrimination, harassment, working off‑the‑clock, legal issues) with guidance from Human Resources.
  • Builds and maintains positive employee morale.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employee matters, store performance, and Company information.
  • Provides clear and accurate direction to department managers, supervisors, and store employees.
  • Ensures compliance with proper cash‑handling procedures, sales accounting, safety protocols, and asset protection practices.
  • Controls shrink and assists in maintaining backroom and sales floor inventory per Division guidelines.
  • Supports developing operating budgets and managing in‑store operating, maintenance, expense, and supply costs.
  • Assists with processing and completing required reports and administrative documentation.
  • Prepares sales and inventory reports; participates in physical inventory every four weeks.
  • Ensures accurate inventory of merchandise, supplies, and equipment; oversees audits and reconciliations.
  • Maintains full understanding of key reports including: P&L (Profit & Loss Statement) S&P Invoices Other required store‑level reporting
  • Assists the Store Director in maintaining strong store conditions, product quality, rotation, labeling standards, and code‑date compliance.
  • Conducts daily store inspections and coaches employees accordingly.
  • Supervises reclamation processing and maintains orderly backroom and department conditions.
  • Ensures merchandise is priced correctly, displays are well‑maintained, and shelves are clean, organized, and in‑stock.
  • Recommends equipment or facility repairs or improvements to the Store Director.
  • Implements emergency procedures in the event of equipment or software malfunctions.
  • Performs receiving duties including: breaking down loads, verifying invoices, inspecting product quality, reporting shortages, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
  • Ensures adherence to temperature standards, storage requirements, and proper packaging techniques.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with vendors and Warehouse personnel.
  • Operates related equipment including pallet jacks, hand trucks, scissors, knives, safety cutters, and Sterilox machines.
  • Uses computer systems and electronic ordering devices to order product.
  • Requires basic proficiency in: Excel Word PowerPoint Email systems
  • Creates and maintains positive community relations.
  • Communicates effectively with manufacturer representatives, Store, Division, and Corporate partners.
  • Assists with monitoring market conditions, trends, and competitor activity.
  • Performs all duties safely, accurately, and with honesty and integrity.
  • Treats all employees consistently, fairly, and with Courtesy, Dignity, and Respect.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
