Description Duties & Responsibilities Customer Service & Engagement Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with a focus on fast, friendly service. Assist the Store Director with overall CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and communicate customer resolutions. Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques (phone, intercom, in‑person). Answer and respond to incoming calls professionally; receive and resolve customer complaints. Support closing the loop between customer feedback and employee actions. Store Operations & Sales Execution Assist with total store operations, including implementing Company/Division merchandising, operating, and sales initiatives. Drive sales, achieve gross profit targets, and manage expenses. Help plan daily operations and monitor production processes for profitability and compliance. Communicate and support all sales promotions and Division programs. Review ads, sales plans, and store promotions with department managers weekly. Ensure store goals, policies, expectations, and procedures are communicated and executed across all departments. Safety, Sanitation & Regulatory Compliance Ensure Company safety and health initiatives are implemented and enforced. Maintain food safety and sanitation integrity across all departments. Ensure all employees are compliant with required trainings (Food Safety/Sanitation, HIPAA, COBC, Meat Grinding Logs, Texas Workplace Benefits Plan Manager, Food Handlers Manager, etc.). Enforce proper code dating on all products. Ensure compliance with scheduling policies, wage/payroll guidelines, Time Clock Policy, child labor laws, and all employment regulations. Ensure adherence to grooming standards and dress code. Store Conditions & Quality Assurance Maintain strong store conditions, product quality, rotation, labeling standards, and code date compliance. Conduct daily inspections and provide coaching. Ensure merchandise is properly priced, displayed, stocked, and shelves are organized. Oversee backroom and department in‑stock conditions and reclamation processing. Implement emergency procedures for equipment or software malfunctions. Staffing, Leadership & Employee Development Assist with staffing, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training. Evaluate employee performance; support disciplinary action, promotion decisions, and terminations. Identify training needs and ensure completion. Effectively resolve employee relations issues (discrimination, harassment, off‑the-clock work, legal violations) with HR support. Build and maintain strong morale and positive working relationships. Safeguard confidentiality regarding employees, store sales, and Company information. Provide clear and accurate instruction to department managers, supervisors, and employees. Cash Handling, Shrink & Inventory Oversee compliance with cash handling procedures, sales accounting, safe processes, and asset protection standards. Control shrink; maintain and manage inventory levels in backroom and on sales floor per Division guidelines. Assist in developing budgets and managing operational, maintenance, expense, and supply costs. Complete or assist with required reporting and administrative paperwork. Prepare sales and inventory reports; ensure accurate inventory every 4 weeks. Fully understand reports including P&L, S&P, invoices, and other store reports. Oversee reclamation and inventory audits. Vendor, Warehouse & Community Relations Maintain positive relationships with vendors and the Warehouse. Ensure compliance with product temperature, retail labeling laws, and all regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain positive community relations. Maintain communication channels with manufacturer reps and Store/Division/Corporate teams. Monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities. Equipment Operation & Product Handling Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, scissors, knives, safety cutters, and Sterilox machines. Perform receiving duties: breaking down loads, verifying orders, checking quality, reporting shortages, stocking, and rotating products. Follow product temperature, storage, and packaging guidelines. Technology & Administrative Responsibilities Use computer software and electronic ordering systems to order product. Requires basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email systems. Approve department schedules when needed to ensure proper coverage. Professional Standards Perform all duties safely, accurately, honestly, and with integrity.
