YOU WILL BE: As the Assistant Store Director, Operations, you will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence and supporting overall store performance. You will oversee all operational processes, from workload planning and freight flow to inventory management and digital tool adoption, ensuring a smooth and efficient back-of-house operation. This role focuses on optimizing store operations to maximize efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction, while actively contributing to the broader business strategy. You’ll partner closely with the Store Director and leadership team to implement operational strategies, drive process improvements, and cultivate a customer-first culture that supports store growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in retail operations, with proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, inventory management, and freight flow
  • Experience with workload planning, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Comfortable using data and reporting tools to make business decisions and drive improvements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with digital tools and technology platforms used in retail environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and develop teams
  • Proven ability to align operational strategies with business goals and enhance overall store performance
  • Customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering an elevated in-store experience
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational workload planning, balancing efficiency with business needs
  • Oversee all store operational standards ensuring execution at a high level
  • Ensure store-wide adoption of digital tools for operational execution
  • Manage the planning, timelines, budget and communication of all required operational processes through workload planning and effective scheduling
  • Oversee all freight flow operations and drives efficiency through process improvement
  • Oversee stock replenishment strategy to meet customer demand and ensure inventory integrity
  • Lead a culture of customer-first decision-making, ensuring all operations enhance the shopping experience
  • Analyze financial and operational reports to make data-driven decisions that improve EBITA
  • Aligs operational strategies with business goals to optimize store performance and growth
  • Communicate store strategy to leadership and associates, ensuring clarity in operational goals
  • Partner with store manager to improve operations and achieve business goals
  • Identify long-term operational challenges and implement strategies for resolution
