STEWARDING ASSISTANT MANAGER The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Stewarding Assistant Manager who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Stewarding Assistant Manager have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

Requirements

Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
Previous supervisory experience is required.
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States.
Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively.
Basic computer proficiency required.
Strong leadership and initiative.
Excellent delegator and mediator.
People person, able to provide excellent Customer service.
Must be able to calmly communicate in stressful situations and provide guidance for their subordinates.

Responsibilities

Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Stewarding Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
Ensure the organization and sanitation of all kitchens, storage areas, employee dining room, waste receptacle areas, compactor room, carts, tables, and Stewarding Department equipment and machinery through constant monitoring and adherence to a vigorous cleaning schedule.
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
Ensure proper use and provide regular care, security and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the Stewarding Department.
Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
The ability to work closely with the Executive Steward to coordinate an adequate supply of China, silver, glass and other equipment used in service.
