The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) and Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) in Joe C. Wen School of Population and Public Health is seeking an occupational medicine physician with strong clinical interests to join our faculty as contract staff physician, who will provide clinical care services at the COEH Irvine Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic and, if interested, participate in the training of residents in the UCI OEM Residency Program. This position will also hold a Voluntary HS Clinical Faculty Appointment. Established in 1976, the UCI OEM Residency Program benefits from our location in Orange County, a major population center with more than 3 million people, in the greater Southern California area. The program’s regional emphasis gives our residents access to training opportunities in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. In addition, the OEM Residency Program is a core program of the NIOSH-funded Southern California Education and Research Center. Our program provides occupational and environmental medicine specialty services with a broad referral base. This position will involve a balance between clinical practice in occupational and environmental medicine. The successful candidate would have at least three years prior OEM clinic experience. The candidate must be board certified in occupational medicine and eligible for licensure in the State of California. We are seeking a physician or physicians for 20-60% time. This position is based on patient care and is paid hourly on an as needed basis. We are also seeking a physician to provide back-up support during times when the primary physician is unavailable.
