SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) is one of the largest environmental compliance firms in the country and ranks among Engineering News-Record’s Top 200 Environmental Firms. Our Houston, TX office seeks an Assistant Staff Compliance Specialist. The candidate chosen to fill this position will assist in compliance efforts for preconstruction planning, construction, and postconstruction operations and maintenance, primarily for the oil and gas market. The position will be responsible for assisting a team of environmental professionals in helping our clients maintain environmental compliance with Federal, State, County and Local permit conditions and reporting requirements on both small and large scale construction projects. The person in this position will work closely with contractors, clients, resource monitors, environmental inspection staff and agency representatives to ensure compliance with permit requirements and mitigation plans. We seek a self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaborate with local leadership to further develop the program. This is a regular (with benefits), full-time, hourly position based in Houston, Texas. This position is expected to be remote/work from home, with the possibility of 1 -2 project site visits yearly. The position pays overtime when more than 40 hours per week are worked on client projects.
