Must be at least 21 years of age. · Minimum of 2 years of experience in spa leadership within a hotel or established Spa brand. · Passion for the Spa and Fitness industry. · Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and experiences. · Demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. · Strong working knowledge of Spa, membership, and recreational software. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proficiency with administrative business applications and ability to learn new systems quickly. · Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills. · Flexibility to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: · Always demonstrate sincere guest focus and true appreciation for the guest experience. · Assist with maintaining adequate professional product and retail program. · Ensure all dealings with guests at the spa, salon, and fitness area meet or exceed the hotel’s operating standards. · Ensure all areas of the Spa are kept clean and well maintained at all times. · Ensure compliance with all legislation governing the operation of a Spa facility. · Ensure the guest experience is relaxing and in accordance with the hotel’s standards. · Ensuring the health and safety of guests and team members is always paramount. · Ensure consistent Spa experience development so that innovation and uniqueness are maintained. · Ensure proper inventories of all operating Spa equipment are conducted in line with audit standards to effectively manage operational costs. · Ensure that the Spa team adheres to all hotel and company operational and service standards. · Ensure that the spa department follows business conduct and ethics guidelines. · Ensure that the spa department follows hotel policies and procedures, including health, hygiene, emergency, and fire prevention. · Ensure that the spa department follows safety standards and always maintains confidentiality for all guests and colleagues. · Ensure all spa and wellness equipment is always maintained in good working order. · Ensure that all stock and cash items are kept safely under lock and key. · Provide guidance, encourage teamwork, and facilitate related professional work processes. · Achieve high performance and operational standards. · Liaise with internal and external parties at appropriate levels to ensure smooth spa operations. · Handle guest complaints or special requirements. · Promote and sell spa programs to all guests. · Upsell spa and wellness programs. · Implement and monitor up-selling strategies to maximize spa and health club operational revenue. · Analyze and interpret guest needs and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions. · Serve as the single point of contact for VIP guests and coordinate their Spa experience. · Oversee all guest settlements including cash, credit card, and room charges. · Assist the Spa Manager in identifying and targeting specific market segments for potential corporate clientele to promote Spa services. · Assist the Spa Manager in developing strong product quality and treatment standards. · Assist in monitoring and analyzing products and services of competitive Spas to maintain a competitive advantage. · Manage the department training plan and conduct hands-on training for new team members. · Review guest feedback and implement improvements to ensure guest satisfaction. · Manage spa team members’ weekly duty schedules and staff duty charts. · Coordinate with the Engineering Department to ensure proper repair and preventive maintenance of spa equipment. · Coordinate with the Engineering Department to ensure proper repair and preventive maintenance of health club equipment. · Regularly monitor all equipment in the Spa and health club areas to ensure proper functioning and maximum guest satisfaction. · Assist with the annual budget and business plan to ensure Spa operations are adequately represented. · Recruit and train Spa team members in accordance with hotel or resort SOPs and guidelines. · Monitor and review Spa team members’ performance regularly and provide guidance as needed. · Manage spa inventory in accordance with hotel purchasing standards to ensure audit compliance. · Hold regular staff meetings to keep the team informed on all aspects of Spa operations. · Stay informed on local and international trends in Spa operations. · Perform regular inventory of Spa retail and operational stock and assist with seasonal merchandise updates. · Raise store requisitions for retail and operational items as needed. · Perform any other duties as reasonably required by management.
