About The Position

Gurney's Resorts & Seawater Spa is a premier luxury destination offering unparalleled oceanfront experiences in Montauk. Our mission is to create a unique, effortlessly elegant experience for our guests. The Assistant Spa Manager will support the Spa Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Seawater Spa. This role involves assisting with staff management, service quality, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in luxury hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a spa or wellness environment, with experience in luxury settings preferred.
• Familiarity with spa management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns effectively.
• Knowledge of spa services, products, and current wellness trends.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in spa or wellness-related disciplines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Spa Manager in managing daily spa operations, including scheduling, staff supervision, and guest services.
• Support spa therapists, aestheticians, and front desk staff, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels of spa products and supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in training and developing spa staff to maintain a knowledgeable and skilled team.
• Help implement strategies to increase spa revenue and improve guest satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Work with the marketing team to promote spa services, special packages, and events.
• Assist in tracking financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
