About The Position

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is seeking a dedicated Assistant Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations across our on- and off-mountain dining outlets. This is a great opportunity for a skilled cook or junior chef ready to step into a leadership role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen (fine dining preferred)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Positive attitude, solid work ethic, and team-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree and ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support kitchen leadership in daily operations and food prep execution
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and cleanliness meet resort standards
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff; lead service when senior chefs are absent
  • Maintain inventory levels, prep lists, and ensure FIFO and labeling compliance
  • Collaborate on seasonal menus and contribute to team success
