About The Position

The Assistant Softball Coach at Triadelphia Middle School is an anticipated position for the 2024-2025 school year. The role involves assisting the Head Coach in helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and self-esteem. The position is part of the athletics department and requires adherence to all federal, state, and district laws and policies.

Requirements

• Completion of a successful background check.
• Thorough knowledge of coaching principles and practices.
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial arrangements.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to the sport.
• Ability to effectively deal with co-workers, athletes, administrators, and the public.
• Any additional qualifications which may be required for a particular sport.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in softball.
• Help plan and schedule regular practice programs.
• Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area where activities are held.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior among participants.
• Attend Booster Club meetings as directed by the Head Coach.
• Participate in all meetings arranged by the Head Coach.
• Familiarize with and follow the guidelines established in Ohio County Board of Education Regulation 4020.01.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
