About The Position

The Assistant Site Manager at Lazer Logistics plays a crucial role in supporting the Site Manager to ensure safe and efficient yard management operations. This position focuses on providing reliable service to customers while overseeing daily activities of employees, maintaining communication between customers and the logistics team, and promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must have leadership skills including recruiting, hiring, team building, coaching, and mentoring.
• Good communication skills and willingness to provide exceptional customer service.
• Working knowledge of domestic carrier services, rules, and regulations.
• Understanding and prevention of critical safety issues.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-Plan, and Geotab).
• Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a transportation/warehouse environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of experience with transportation/warehouse software.
• Proficient at Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to prioritize and work through challenges independently.
• CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company policies are followed.
• Promote safety for the entire operation.
• Work with Site Manager to ensure the metrics of the KPI are met.
• Hire, train, and develop team members.
• Resolve customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
• Maintain an overall management style that follows company best practices.
• Provide leadership and direction to all employees.
• Create, organize, and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage is in place to meet customer needs.
• Assist Site Manager in administering disciplinary action when necessary.
• Motivate employees and ensure a focus on the mission.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Site Manager accurately and efficiently.
