About The Position

We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager for our Dundalk, MD branch location. This individual will be responsible for managing the daily work of Technicians and/or Field Service Managers (FSM's) and other team members in the Service Department.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of industry services, customers, procedures, and policies
Material Handling Industry experience strongly preferred
Ability to motivate, mentor and coach service staff and managers
Thorough knowledge of all technical aspects of forklifts, heavy equipment and other related Material Handling Equipment
Strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical and diagnostic skills required
Read and understand schematics

Nice To Haves

Material Handling Industry experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Manages the daily work of Field Service Technicians and FSM's
Manages the Work In Process (WIP)
Help to answer phones, help customers with technical questions
Schedule and assist Field Service Technicians and FSM's daily
Assists Field Service Technicians and FSM's on difficult jobs and when they need additional help
Communicates effectively to customers on repair work as needed
Works with other managers, sales representative and other staff to establish labor costs
Assists, coaches, mentors, supports other service members and staff as needed
Performs other related duties as required
