About The Position

Summary: The Restaurant Server Assistant is responsible for helping servers deliver food and beverage items from the kitchen to the guests. In this position, the server assistant should understand the content of the menu and ensure that food is delivered in a timely fashion. The server should understand and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and help with the execution of area setup and breakdown. The assistant supports the server in all job functions.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food and beverages are properly delivered and/or stored.
• Knowledgeable on all menu offerings.
• Follows set up and break down processes efficiently.
• Understands all event paperwork and reports.
• Establishes rapport with guests and understands suggestive and upselling techniques.
• Adheres to location appearance guidelines.
• Acts with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
• Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
• Understands the importance of maintaining equipment and executes accordingly.
• Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided.
• Performs post event product inventory and restocks as needed.
• Help fellow employees whenever necessary.
