About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Security at Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is responsible for overseeing the security and surveillance staff, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. This role involves creating strategies for security operations, monitoring personnel, and maintaining records of incidents and accidents. The position requires effective communication and leadership skills to train and manage the security team while responding to emergencies and guest inquiries.

Requirements

• At least 4 years' experience in a security field or similar role.
• Effective communication skills.
• Hospitality experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• AED Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of the security team and train them to interact with visitors, vendors, and employees.
• Maintain daily records including incident and accident reports.
• Regularly patrol and spot check the premises, including outlets, guest areas, and public areas.
• Spot check security officer's performance.
• Respond to emergency situations including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.
• Assist the Security Manager as needed.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents as needed.
• Write reports and ensure the accuracy of necessary documentation.
• Respond to all guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
