About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking an Assistant Account Manager in the San Francisco area to support the Account Manager in overseeing supervisory, training, and operational functions at the assigned post. This role ensures compliance with post orders, client instructions, and internal procedures. To set you up for success, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding program designed to deliver best practices, tools, and guidance. Salary range is $90,000 to $105,000

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of professional-level experience; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to de-escalate situations professionally.
  • Ability to train and coach others effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact at all levels.
  • Availability to work outside normal shift schedule and respond to emergencies 24/7.

  • Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of executing the security contract at the assigned location.
  • Assign tasks and direct Security Professionals throughout the day.
  • Serve as the first point of supervisory contact for shift supervisors or Security Professionals regarding performance and operations.
  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and train team members; evaluate performance and recommend assignments.
  • Maintain and update Post Order manuals and training materials.
  • Assist with interviews, evaluations, and on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Oversee reports, logs, and pass-downs; distribute communications as directed.
  • Manage sub-units such as fire control rooms, command centers, and loading docks.
  • Respond to minor incidents, ensuring proper reporting and communication.
  • Identify personnel issues and escalate appropriately; assist with investigations and documentation.
  • Recommend and execute disciplinary actions as directed by management.
  • Respond to client or site emergencies and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Occasionally perform Security Professional duties (not to exceed 50% of time in any workweek).
  • Emotional Intelligence: Ability to lead and manage one of our most tenured and diverse teams with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Experience or ability to assess operations and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, balancing priorities and aligning objectives to achieve business goals.
