This position is for an Assistant Seafood Manager, though the listed duties represent major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform as a seafood clerk. Management requirements will be shared with the department manager. The role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, ensuring regular and reliable attendance, following company safety and sanitation procedures, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area, equipment, seafood cases, and backroom. Key tasks include preparing product for cases, properly storing product at closing, handling live seafood, preparing party trays and selected seafood, suggestive selling and sampling products, and cooking (frying and steaming) products for customers. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.
