Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education , Child Development , or a closely related field
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of leadership experience in a licensed early childhood program
Knowledge of Virginia state licensing regulations and early education best practices
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
A deep passion for early education and a commitment to high standards of care and learning

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development Lead by example to create a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment
Provide coaching, performance reviews, and mentoring to support staff growth and morale
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts
Licensing & Program Compliance Ensure adherence to Virginia state licensing requirements , health regulations, and internal safety protocols
Monitor training and certification status of all staff and maintain up-to-date records
Conduct classroom visits and internal reviews to ensure consistent program quality
Daily Operations & School Management Assist with day-to-day school operations including scheduling, enrollment, communication, and facility upkeep
Implement and maintain school policies that support a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
Collaborate closely with the school owner, school director and regional team to meet operational goals
Parent & Community Engagement Cultivate strong relationships with parents through clear communication and a responsive, solutions-based approach
Represent the school professionally in parent meetings, school tours, and local events
Ensure parent feedback is addressed promptly and thoughtfully
