Position summary: The Assistant Sample Technician is responsible for providing quality yarn delivery units by adequately and correctly performing tube bank yarn blow ups and hanging creels, to produce carpet samples.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency required
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

Tufting and/or yarn handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate proficient understanding of yarn systems and Pilot Plant operations.
Maintain proper individual and departmental production records.
Blow up yarn to run on tufting machines.
Be able to manually write a thread up diagram for each Pilot Plant tufting machine.
Maintain housekeeping
Know and comply with all safety rules
Comply with environmental regulations
Be aware of, and able to access, departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) via the P.A.S.S. system.
Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
Understand and support Interface's commitment to sustainability.
Perform any other duties as assigned
