Assistant Salon Manager/Stylist
About The Position
We are looking for a happy and energetic manager to join our fun team of stylists. Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is a salon for kids ages 0-14. We’re on a mission to WOW our clients from the minute they arrive. Smiles and a positive attitude are a must, and we treat all our team members like family! Requirements
- Must have active cosmetology or barber license in KS.
Responsibilities
- Strong stylist technical skills with ability to mentor and train - lead team by example
- Ability and desire to style in addition to fulfilling assistant manager role
- Promote Sharkey’s to new customers and potential new team members
- Assist in hiring, training and retaining stylists
- Oversee Daily Operations
- Provide exceptional client experience. Listen and communicate clearly with clients to deliver the highest level of service; happily make adjustments as requested.
- Educate clients on retail products that are best suited for their needs.
- Ability and desire to work with kids - playful, caring, patient, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of the salon.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Must have active cosmetology or barber license in KS.
