We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Rooms Manager at our 148-room boutique property in the heart of Culver City. This key leadership role provides shift oversight of Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Event Setup, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence. The responsibilities of the Assistant Rooms Manager would include assisting in overseeing any area in the Rooms Division. This can include the Front Office staff, Guest Services, Housekeeping/Laundry, and Reservations; included but not limited to:

Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year Front Office supervisory experience at a luxury lifestyle hotel (typically with Hyatt)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, counsel, and inspire teams.
  • Strong track record of colleague engagement, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and a guest-centric mindset.
  • Service oriented style with excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong organizational and administrative skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.
  • Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately compute the daily income of the hotel by verifying that all guest accounts are correct and in balance by the following morning.
  • Maximize customer service satisfaction in the absence of departmental management by supervising all departments in accordance with the standards of Hyatt.
  • Oversee overnight housekeeping colleagues.
  • Effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.
