About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager at Dearborn Hospital is responsible for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department, ensuring their impact on patient care in the department. This position is situated in the 9 South medical unit, which is a 32-bed unit that caters to a diverse range of diagnoses and multiple chronic co-morbidities in patients aged 18 to 100+. The unit also houses the ACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) program, aimed at helping patients aged 65 and older avoid complications and return to their baseline function. The unit has the capability to monitor 8 telemetry cardiac patients, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required effective June 1, 2025.
• 2 years of relevant nursing experience required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification required.

• Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) preferred.
