About The Position

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department. As part of our leadership team, you’ll work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to foster an environment where patients receive exceptional care and staff feel empowered. You’ll help shape a culture of excellence, growth, and innovation.

Requirements

• Effective June 1, 2025, a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is Required.
• Two+ years of clinical experience Required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required.

• Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred.
