About The Position

NYCERS is recruiting for two (2) Part-time Contact Center Agent's in our Contact Center Unit within the Client Services Division to provide a great customer experience to their clients who serve the City of New York. The ideal candidates should possess effective communication skills to effectively engage with customers contacting New York City Employees' Retirement System seeking guidance and information related to retirement benefits.

Requirements

• An associate degree or completion of 60 credits from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 9 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting, and/or actuarial science.
• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of satisfactory full-time experience performing mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations in a retirement or employee benefits plan, customer service in a financial institution, or in a position requiring the application of laws, rules and regulations.
• A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the above.

• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
• Bilingual in English/Spanish

Responsibilities

• Handling inbound/outbound calls to and from clients.
• Answering as needed in-person inquiries from clients.
• Listening to client's needs and/or any concerns they may have and providing helpful solutions to their problems.
