About The Position

The Assistant Retail Manager will play a crucial role in changing lives through the power of work by assisting store management with the execution of daily operations of a retail store. This position excludes personnel issues but encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of the store. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in retail operations required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrate accuracy with accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Maintain a good driving record, valid insurance, and valid driver license.
  • Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license, when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service and handling customer complaints in a courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen principles and ability to follow 5S Checklist, procedures, signage, and layout.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Store Manager with general operations, including acquisition, display, and sale of merchandise.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties of store operations, providing sales reports and accurate retail information.
  • Oversee all personnel, clients, and volunteers assigned to the retail store.
  • Direct training and assist with employee performance evaluations.
  • Handle personnel issues, provide proper documentation, and assist with corrective actions when required.
  • Enforce store procedures and GIWM policies on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure grounds and building are properly maintained, reporting need for repairs and recommending replacements.
  • Enhance security and loss prevention.
  • Ensure safety compliance for all OSHA/MIOSHA requirements and GIWM safety regulations.
  • Perform job functions of a Lead Cashier and Retail Associate as required.
