We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who will assist in leading the daily operation of BACCO restaurant with passion and creativity, ensuring exceptional service and attention to our guests. This person will have strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills, is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service. Prior experience in a mixed -use residential hotel is preferred.

Requirements

  • A degree in Hospitality or Restaurant Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • One to two years previous experience in a line, supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
  • Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Hotel cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on -the -job.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  • Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Due to visa restrictions, at the moment we are only accepting candidates from Mexico and Canada.

  • Prior experience in a mixed -use residential hotel is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel’s BACCO Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met, daily activities and planning for outlet operation.
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  • Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits and ensure quality of all food or beverage items, ingredients, and preparation methods, in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience while following and maintaining all local, state, and federal laws relating to alcohol service and consumption.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment on a daily basis in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co -workers and supervisors.
