  • Ability to read and implement policies and procedures, including writing schedules and reading forecasts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in manager's job description.
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
  • Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies.
  • Hold pre-meal meetings and follow up on established training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours to monitor service.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback on their experience.
  • Observe, teach, and correct staff's service as needed.
  • Monitor each guest experience and examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Maintain the condition of dining room, lobby lounge, mini bar, and room service.
  • Assist manager in scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting.
  • Participate in recruitment, management, and discipline of associates as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and follow up on them.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
  • Check bar controls and ensure compliance with liquor liability laws.
