The Assistant Restaurant Manager at Tesserae, located atop Thompson Atlanta Buckhead, is responsible for leading operational excellence across various dining services, including the Lobby Bar, Pool Operations, and In-Room Dining.   • Effectively lead operational excellence across Tesserae, Lobby Bar, Pool Operations, and In-Room Dining focusing on team member and guest results metrics.
  • Ensure highest quality of food and beverage standards for product and service are maintained.
  • Attend and participate in management, staff, and preconvention meetings.
  • Ensure all brand standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Oversee and assist with the processes and training at the property.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent service for both internal and external customers.
  • Develop, maintain, and hold accountability for departmental control procedures.
  • Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback, including praise and necessary discipline.
  • Understand the impact of department's operations on overall property financial goals and manage to achieve or exceed those goals.
  • Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Have full knowledge and understanding of the company's handbook, SOPs, and processes; adhere to and enforce those in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures.
  • Support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive appropriate new hire training.
  • Full-time management position requiring full flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, including point of sale systems.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge, including wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Hotel experience and thorough understanding of restaurant service.
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation practices.
