Visit us here to learn more about Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects You'll play a pivotal role in delivering this complex, multi-jurisdictional bridge replacement project. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, you'll support field oversight, inspection, quality assurance, and contract administration throughout all phases of construction-from foundation and falsework through bridge deck placement and roadway tie-ins. You'll perform and oversee daily inspection and quality assurance activities on bridge and roadway construction. You'll verify contractor work for conformance with approved plans, specifications, and special provisions. You'll coordinate with contractors, utilities, and public agencies to resolve field issues and minimize delays. You'll support the Resident Engineer in preparing and negotiating contract change orders. You'll review contractor submittals, RFI responses, and progress schedules. You'll oversee and document testing and sampling of construction materials to ensure compliance. You'll track contractor progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. You'll perform or support calculations for grade, alignment, quantities, falsework, shoring, and structure components. You'll assist in the preparation of pay estimates, project correspondence, and claims documentation. You'll collaborate closely with Construction Management Consultants, including staking, materials testing, and environmental monitoring teams. Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. Requirements

  • California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • Eight (8) years of roadway/highway construction inspection and field engineering experience on major public works projects.
  • One (1) Caltrans-administered or federally funded highway project.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, or bridge construction inspection.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of concrete and steel bridge materials, falsework, and shoring systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with contractors and public agencies.
  • Proficiency in Caltrans construction documentation standards, E-builder/PMCS systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience as Assistant or Resident Engineer on bridge or river crossing projects.
  • Ability to lead field inspection staff and make timely, technically sound field decisions.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance and stormwater management on Caltrans projects.
  • Prior work with Riverside County, City of Riverside, or Caltrans District 8 is highly desirable.
  • Experience on tolling, smart corridor, or ITS-equipped roadway projects (a plus).
