What you’ll be challenged to do: As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will build your career in construction services with a clear path toward project management. You will support the removal and replacement of aging underground fuel storage tanks that serve critical public agencies, including NYCDEP, FDNY, and DSNY. These facilities power essential city operations, from fire response vehicles to sanitation fleets. In this role, you will work on complex tank removal and replacement projects involving gasoline and diesel storage systems located within active municipal facilities and large vehicle garages. You will gain hands-on experience coordinating field activities, supporting compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and ensuring construction quality on projects that directly impact public safety and infrastructure.
