Now Hiring: Full-Time ARCD (Assistant Resident Care Director) Allegro Senior Living – Allegro Parkland | Parkland, FL Senior Living Leadership | Scheduling | Team Management Allegro Parkland is seeking a strong, experienced Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) to join our leadership team. This is not a bedside-only role. We are looking for a seasoned leader with deep scheduling expertise, employee management experience, and the confidence to help run a high-performing Wellness department in a Senior Living / Assisted Living community. If you’ve built schedules, led teams, handled staffing challenges, and supported clinical operations at a leadership level—we want to talk to you. The Role: Clinical Leader + Operations Pro As the ARCD, you will support the Resident Care Director while helping oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, staffing, and team performance of the Wellness department. This role is ideal for someone who understands that great care starts with great scheduling, accountability, and leadership. The responsibility of the Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) is to support the Resident Care Director (RCD) in the supervision of Assisted Living Services by providing for the residents needs. The role also will assist the RCD in overseeing all phases of the operations of the Assisted Living Department including general administration and physical maintenance. The ARCD must always be aware that maintaining excellent service, quality care, high occupancy, effective communications, and high resident satisfaction are the overarching goals of the Company and the Community.

Requirements

  • Proven Senior Living or Assisted Living leadership experience
  • Strong scheduling and workforce management background
  • Experience managing teams—not just working the floor
  • Ability to lead, problem-solve, and make confident decisions
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Licensed RN or LPN in good standing with the State Licensing Agency where the community is located.
  • CPR/AED certification is required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing license (LPN or RN)
  • Experience in ARCD, Wellness Coordinator, Nurse Manager, or similar leadership roles
  • High-volume staffing or multi-shift scheduling experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in Geriatric, Long Term Care, or Assisted Living with Assisted Living Training preferred.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising, coaching, and managing Wellness associates
  • Support performance management, training, and accountability
  • Help ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts
  • Partner with leadership to address attendance, coverage, and call-offs
  • Create, manage, and maintain complex Wellness staffing schedules
  • Adjust schedules proactively to meet census and care needs
  • Ensure compliance with labor guidelines and company standards
  • Balance staffing efficiency with quality resident care
  • Assist with oversight of resident care and services
  • Support compliance with state regulations and company policies
  • Participate in care planning, audits, and clinical documentation
  • Step in to support clinical needs when necessary
  • Promote a safe environment for all residents, visitors, and associates of the Community through vigilance regarding infection control and life safety.
  • Work with Care Staff to create Resident Service Plans.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing Department to assess prospects and new residents as directed by the RSD.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with the RSD in administrating and managing the Department, to promote continuity of care and maintenance of services for the residents.
  • Maintain Department compliance with the operating budget through use of purchase order system and budget control procedures (including appropriate prior authorization on capital expenditure purchases).
  • Supervise the Care Staff in giving day to day care to the residents (i.e., bathing assistance, health monitoring, etc.).
  • Assist with resident care activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
