About The Position

The Assistant Research Scientist position in CCRC's National Glycoscience Resources Laboratory involves conducting research for the development of new tools and methods for the structural characterization of glycoproteins and polysaccharides using techniques such as MS, HPLC, HPAEC, or NMR. The role includes publishing research findings and obtaining independent funding. Responsibilities also encompass writing and editing manuscripts, supervising laboratory technicians, postdocs, and research professionals, and organizing training courses and workshops on glycoscience.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry, glycobiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related studies.
  • Prior expertise in glycobiology and structural characterization of glycoconjugates.
  • Experience in project management and leadership positions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research for development of new tools and methods for structural characterization of glycoproteins and polysaccharides.
  • Publish research findings and obtain independent funding.
