The ideal candidate will have developed a method to analyze or “make sense” of cancer multi-omic data. This position will be the manager of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Shared Resource (BBSR) through the UCCC, which is a group of highly experienced Bioinformatics analysts that work across an array of -omics technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively collaborate and organize their time to work on multiple projects. This position will also offer the opportunity to develop independence of research through individual and collaborative grant funding. • Experience analyzing data from multiple –omics datatypes

Responsibilities

  • Develop collaborative, multi-omic research projects with cancer center members
  • Develop data analysis pipelines for multi-omic data, including writing code, using version control (ie. GitHub), and generating results to be presented back to collaborators
  • Work collaboratively with wet lab cancer researchers, computational scientists and biostatisticians
  • Manage a team of 4 bioinformatics analysts, providing project assignment and oversight to ensure progress
