About The Position

The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an individual to perform administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical and/or non-clinical research projects. This role involves serving as a communication liaison for the Manning Lab, developing training materials, maintaining metrics data, and coordinating student experiences. The position also includes participation in research meetings, operational support for research activities, and assistance with data transfer and report preparation. Additionally, the individual will oversee communication strategies and marketing materials for lab initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred education is a Bachelor's Level Degree.
  • No required certification.
  • Preferred certification is Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Manning Lab communication liaison between the Manning Lab and the Department for external students/postdocs.
  • Work with laboratory leadership to develop training materials for educational objectives.
  • Maintain metrics data for decisions concerning student/trainee learning outcomes.
  • Update evaluation tools to assess the quality of the educational experience and gather participant feedback.
  • Compile and evaluate educational program statistics and summaries as needed.
  • Develop student/trainee recruitment and orientation materials with necessary approvals.
  • Coordinate all Manning lab summer student experiences and chaperone through various systems.
  • Assist non-U.S. citizen students/postdocs with visa clearances or other pre-employment requirements.
  • Participate in inter- and intra-departmental research meetings and serve as a representative on select committees.
  • Provide operational support for clinical and/or non-clinical research activities.
  • Assist researchers in the compilation of collected data and preparation of research reports and manuscripts.
  • Collaborate on research projects with members of the DI-TCR group and other clinical staff.
  • Assist with data transfer, including preclinical and clinical imaging workflows, auto routing, and archiving.
  • Produce and oversee websites, social media content, and develop communication strategies for Lab-based programs.
  • Create and coordinate laboratory publicity and marketing materials.
  • Assist with the implementation of various Laboratory initiatives such as retreats, research symposia, conferences, and site visits.
