SCOPE: Prepare and clean gearboxes and component parts for refurbishment and assembly along with assisting in assembly when needed.

Requirements

Operate overhead crane and forklift.
Operate large parts washer/sandblast machine.
Operate forklift.
Mechanically inclined with gearbox assembly preferred.
Use handheld power and manual tools.
Ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner, while maintaining safety as a priority.
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
Be computer literate.
High school diploma or GED.
3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience, gearbox preferred.
Good written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Mechanically inclined with gearbox assembly preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and clean gearboxes and component parts for refurbishment and assembly along with assisting in assembly when needed.
Operate overhead crane and forklift.
Operate large parts washer/sandblast machine.
Operate forklift.
Use handheld power and manual tools.
Maintain a safe and clean workstation per 5s practices.
Work in a team environment to accomplish goals.
Work overtime as needed.
Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand, bend and squat for 8 hours.
Manage time and complete job in a safe manner.
Utilize handheld precision measuring tools such as micrometers and depth mics.
Perform quality work inspections to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety.
