SCOPE: Prepare and clean gearboxes and component parts for refurbishment and assembly along with assisting in assembly when needed.

Requirements

  • Operate overhead crane and forklift.
  • Operate large parts washer/sandblast machine.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Mechanically inclined with gearbox assembly preferred.
  • Use handheld power and manual tools.
  • Ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner, while maintaining safety as a priority.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
  • Be computer literate.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience, gearbox preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanically inclined with gearbox assembly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience, gearbox preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clean gearboxes and component parts for refurbishment and assembly along with assisting in assembly when needed.
  • Operate overhead crane and forklift.
  • Operate large parts washer/sandblast machine.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Use handheld power and manual tools.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation per 5s practices.
  • Work in a team environment to accomplish goals.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand, bend and squat for 8 hours.
  • Manage time and complete job in a safe manner.
  • Utilize handheld precision measuring tools such as micrometers and depth mics.
  • Perform quality work inspections to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety.
