About The Position

This is a weekend-only independent contractor position responsible for teaching tennis and pickleball clinics on-court. This role is limited to Saturdays and Sundays. Teaching in a professional manner on-court engaging members with creativity. Teaching both tennis and pickleball clinics is a must. Greeting and interacting with members and their guests as they enter and exit the facility. Explaining and promoting various upcoming tennis and pickleball events. Teach members and their guests how to use essential pieces of tennis or pickleball equipment (i.e. ball machine). Reporting feedback and enforcing posted rules and regulations of the facility. Teaching 2 clinics daily. Re-gripping racquets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen to clients who are being served; frequent physical activity (standing, walking, lifting, etc.); occasionally sitting to perform administrative responsibilities on a computer or at a desk; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities are performed outdoors and, in a temperature controlled facility environment; some exposure to temperature extremes when leading group activities at the tennis & pickleball facilities. This position is classified as an Independent Contractor (1099) role. Contractors are scheduled to work Saturdays and Sundays only . No weekday availability is required or expected for this role. Personal growth within the Tennis Industry including exposure to teaching group tennis and pickleball clinics and developing private lessons. Requirements

  • High School Diploma is a must
  • Enthusiastic about Tennis and Pickleball
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Required Experience with teaching groups up to 6 players on court
  • Energy and enthusiasm keeping members interested on court

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from national organizations such as RSPA, PTR, ITPTA, PPR is preferred
  • Teaching at a private or member-owned club
  • Computer Skills- Should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Word)
